Hi,
normally my pi worked fine. but just recently when i opened my pi, i got only the splash screen and the application turned off. i've repaired / uninstalled and reinstalled the pi without success. may someone help plssss.

What version of PI? IF you're running PI-12 on Vista have you installed the Vista update? Of course PIX3 is Vista certified, and should work, at least it does on mine.
Have you updated MicroSoft Direct-X lately? The current update is June 2008. If not Go HERE and download the latest MS Direct-X drivers.

When ANY program that was working before suddenly develops a fault then the first thing that you must consider is "What has changed on my computer?"
Think carefully about any hardware or software that you have either installed or removed. Don't forget that this will also include any Microsoft Updates - especially if you have automatic updates activated.
