Can't import from a DVD-RW into the program

I installed the program a few days ago, even read the User's Guide! I have a mini DVD-RW that I took out of the Camcorder and inserted into the drive on my computer. I selected "Capture" and then "Import DVD-DVD-VR". It does find the drive and actually brings up everything on the screen - sound and all. Unfortunately the "Import" button remains grayed out and I'm forced to close the window (loosing my data). Needless to say I haven't gotten beyond this problem to even have anything to start editing.
My OS is Windows XP with a Pentium 4 and 0.9GB RAM.
Help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Judy

Problem Solved!

After looking at the tutorials on this Board it dawned on me what the problem was. I wasn't actually clicking in the box next to each chapter, just on the chapter name.
I know I'll be back with other questions!

Welcome to the forums!

Two possibilities, but I think the first is what will solve it. Since you actually get "everything" on the screen, I am assuming that this means you have a sort of directory tree of what is on the mini DVD. Well, as you move down the list of 'chapters' you will see a little box to the left of each entry. You have to tick those boxes against the pieces of video you want to import. That way the Import button becomes active.

Otherwise, my second suggestion would have been to finalise your mini DVD inside the camera because some models require that before they can be see by a computer and Video Studio.
