Info: Corel support - seems alive and well...

Post by rose3 »

Just fired a question to Corel ref WinDVD9 and got an answer back about 30 min later - at 8PM on a Sunday evening. Granted, it was a simple question, but very nice to hear from them! :D

I also noted that if you go to their knowledge base it lists answers to a few problems that have been posted here. Again, nice to see. :D

I also noted that in the acknowledgement email that you get immediately after submitting your request, it said:
"Your question has been received. You should expect a response from us
within 24 hours(Next Business Day)."

It remains to be seen if that holds, but darn nice to see!!! :D

Followup: again, cust-support-things look good:

At the same time that I sent that issue I also sent another issue:
This is a site issue: My WinDVD9BR shows up in recent orders but not in "view your products".

Got a quick answer this morning (1 business day) which said that it is a known problem that they are looking into and my note was forwarded to the dev team. They also noted that if I needed assistance with re-activation, to simply contact them. Very nice, QUICK response.

I do believe that it was noted elsewhere that if one needs to re-install they can just copy in the SN and activation key from the first one. This is no prob for me as I keep Acronis images around, and I only do a complete opsys rebuild once or twice a year.
