your display environment does not support protected content

Post by Tingdog »

(Just read that these forums aren't even ran by Corel. Please understand that the following will read as though addressing Corel.)

"your display environment does not support protected content playback"

Like throwing money down a hole. Your WinDVD advisory said everything was fine despite its inability to recognize an AMD phenom which has been on the market for close to 9 months.

Please look here for my system specs. The above error message says it all, in that, that message is all I'm given to work with. WINDVD9 will not play blu ray movies.

After reluctantly choosing to purchase your software, I now find myself regretting it. You may view my actual system here.

3000 dollars for the sytem
and god know how much for all these displays and the surround sound.

Todays loss is:

80 dollars for software that wont run
30 dollars for a movie that wont play

Your software won't run.

NTSC, DVI Digital outputs with a VGA display disabled in or out of crossfire mode.
On board sound; Microsoft High definition Audio Device Driver version 6.0.6001 18000 (longhorn_rtm.080118-1840)
Give or take a terabyte of free disk space.
All other information can be found through the two links provided.

OK, I think I figured it out.

Four thousand dollars worth of monitors. A three thousand Dollar computer.

Grand Total $7000.00+ Not including software and paraphernalia.

...and the Sony Blu-ray Consortium feels I need to buy a "new Monitor" to prove to them that I'm not a pirate. I think I've found the thief... I also believe I've found my answer.

no.

After buying a new monitor that supported HDCP I still revived this error.

Solution: Install the monitor driver from the manufacture, it appears the default monitor driver from Microsoft doesn't support HDCP.
