I was installing WINDVD9 and my system crashed. So once I got back into the system I uninstalled it and then began to try and install it again. Here is my problem. Once I re-install the program, there is a problem with the license key number. It show up as invalid...actually some kind of messed up number. Consequently I am unable to activate the product.
I have tried various methods of removing the old, bad key from the registry...so far without success. This includes using the manual uninstall procedure provided by Corel in the knowledge base as well as running CCleaner to delete all references to WINDVD registry keys. However, no matter how I uninstall all of these items, whenever I reinstall the program it comes back as having the same old bad key.
So my question is where the is the key actually stored in the registry?? So I can delete it and do a completely clean install and not be having the bad key continue to return? Or is there some other method to change the license key number within the program to the correct number??
