Hi,
I have MediaStudioPro7. It is the upgrade version. I have VideoStudio 8 upgrade also (Uprade from VideoStudio SE 6). Anyway, I recently did a reinstall of Win XP on my computer and went to reinstall MSP, but it wants the disk of the previous version, I put in VS8 and it says it wants the previous version. Well, I cannot find my VS SE 6 disks anywhere. Would anyone have the SE disks they could let me have. I do not know what else to do. Thanks for looking.

Are you sure it's requesting a previous VS version, and not a MSP? I have VS8 upgrade, which I purchased from VS5. I don't need to install VS5, or even provide a serial number for it, when I install VS8.

I do have MSP7VE (Video Edition), and every time I reinstall MSP8, I need to provide the serial number for MSP7. I've created a spreadsheet that has all my software listed along with purchase dates, and serial numbers. This has come in real handy a few times...;)

Basically what I"m getting at is that when upgrading it's only the previous upgrade that is required, not every single upgrade. If that were the case then I would need to provide numerous versions' serial numbers...

I think I found my issue. The install gives a list of previous versions to install and version 8 of VideoStudio apparently is too recent. It lists version 7 and previous. I must have previously installed it from my old VS se edition. I will keep trying to find it I guess.
