Slideshow starts over after 3rd slide continuously

Post by Donald G Groves »

Have successfully made 2 DVD slideshows. This one has the problem. Tried on both Windows Media Center program and also on my DVD player attached to my TV. Please advise.

Welcome to the forums, So does living in Aloha seem a bit warmer then the rest of Oregon.... :)

Please read the following thread first, and return with as much information as you can. Read This First...

I've never had a slideshow loop in such a manner. In order to determine why, we need more information, such as the version of DVDMF being used, and settings (Playback), menus or no menus, and what steps you took to create your slideshows.

It may be due to a bad disc. Every now an then there's a bad apple in the bunch. Have you tried burning using another disc? There's also the possibility of a bad/corrupt image file. The only way to determine this is through the process of elimination. Start by cutting your slideshow project in half. Don't burn to disc, just to DVD Folders, and see if either half will play through sucessfully. If one fails, then continue on, cutting it in half, and so on until you find the culprit.

Finally have you recently done any windows updates? These seem to be causing problems recently with NLEs, and updating the MS DirectX seems to fix most. Have you recently updated DirectX? Go HERE and download the latest MS Direct-X drivers. The most current is dated June, 2008.

It sounds as though the Movie thinks it has reached the end before it has in fact done so. This would most likely be caused by a corrupted video file or it could be a faulty disc.

Firstly try burning the DVD again to a hard drive folder (saves wasting a disc)
