Now that I am registered (Thanks To This Forum)can I still get the free download for the newer verzion and should I do that, what are the improvements? Thanks

The 6 November 2007 update patch and 8 November Power Pack mainly relate to the processing of high definition video, with particular emphasis on AVCHD. But they do other things which are listed in the notes to each of them. So read those notes and see if you need to update. In any case, it is free, so you might as well while you can...
