My Options MediaStudioPro 7 user

Post by borgunit »

I have not really checked the message boards for a few years here. I have MSP7 and was looking to upgrade. It appears MSP is going bye bye. What are my upgrade choices with Corel/Ulead?
Thanks

You could still purchase MSP8, although no further updates will be available and support will eventually cease.

Corel is offering MSP users a free version of VideoStudio 11 (see http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=31547). There is rumored to be a VideoStudio Pro in the works and I think this free offer is to create an upgrade path. Just my opinion.

BTW, I think the free offer thread should be made into a sticky for the top of the forum, don't you think admins?

You haven't told us what your --> Image <--is so that we can then view your system specifications.

MediaStudio 8 will work on XP but will only work in a fashion on Vista after some pain and aggravation.
This Is How To Install MSP 7 or 8 on Microsoft Vista

MediaStudio will last for several years yet providing you stick to an XP Operating System, if however you have Vista then your choices are

1. Create a Dual Boot Vista/XP System so that you can continue to enjoy MSP to the full.
2. VideoStudio
The current Version is 11. This should also provide an upgrade path to the next series of VideoStudio currently in development.
