Cannot burn DVD - "Disc Type" "Empty"

Hi
I'm trying out 11.5 and I do like the interface the only issue I seem to be getting at the moment is that when I come to burn a DVD on Share>Create a Disc the software shows my Optiarc DVD RW AD-7191S 1.01 with no disc.
I have used Premiere Elements 4 and Vista Movie Maker with no issues at all.
Can anyone assist?
