Project Preview - Skips Directly To End Of Project

I'm having a problem previewing my projects. When I press the play button, the scrubber instantly jumps from the beginning to the end of my project without previewing. No problem manually dragging the scrubber through my entire project and no problem previewing in clip mode. It seems like this is most likely to occur if I add more than one QuickTrack to the project. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi
some thoughts:-
Have you set the project playback range by mistake.?
Do you see a full blue bar below the preview screen when in project playback mode.?
Do you see a red bar on the timeline rule, towards the end of the project?
If yes
In project mode navigate to the first frame, press F3 or the ( [ ) markin symbol.

Thanks for the suggestions Trevor. It turns out the problem was a corrupt SmartSound installation. By
precisely following the instructions from the SmartSound Support link below I was able to resolve the problem.
Basically it's a procedure for performing a clean install of the SmartSound component. The article was originally intended to resolve various error codes in "Pinnacle Studio" however it works perfectly for Ulead/Corel as well. For the benefit of anyone wanting to perform the procedure, note that Step 5 of the article provides a link where the SmartSound update version
specifically for Ulead can be selected.
