Post by flyfisherman »

Got Ulead 11Plus, went to register and message was already registered? Told to uninstall all ulead programs and reinstall, problem is I can't find the other programs under "Add and Remove" only Ulead 11 shows up there, how do I uninstall the trial verzion and other Ulead programs? Thanks

Did you purchase VS11 from Corel? My reason for asking is that this must be something new with the program, requiring all other Ulead programs to be uninstalled. I've never seen this anywhere. I have numerous versions of VS, DVD MF, PI installed on my home PC.

It is highly recommend that before installing a full version, that the trial version be uninstalled. The closest to this it when you try to install a TBYB (trial) version when you have the full version already. It will then prompt you, asking if you want to remove the program. I've attempted this, even trying to install to a different folder, or drive.

Thanks for the reply, I bought it on ebay from a second party seller, she said she called Corel and the instructions are from them, I am not convinced of that? She also claims it was new and that she removed the UPC for rebate purpose which sounds a little fishy??

I would have to say that you've been had. Even though the adds on Ebay look good, most of the time they are not.

I've always purchased my software from stores you can walk into, or directly from the manufacturer.

Chalk this up to a learning experience, there's really no recourse to be had with Ebay. :(

Live and learn, lot of crooks out there, especially with the way the American economy is, heck our dollar is only worth 50 cents in your country. Thanks for the help, I emailed the lady with some strong stuff. I should clarify and state that she sais to remove any trial verzions or earlier verzions not all Ulead products.. Not sure but I think when I loaded the software it said that it would remove the trial verzion?

If a bargain sounds too good to be true it usually is.
I heard someone once bought a "Can of Birmingham Fresh Air" off Ebay!

I know a lot of flyfishermen are into all kinds of stuff especially digital cameras, since the cameras are so small that a lot of guys carry them on stream, now video cameras are nearly as small, especially the hard drive cams like the JVC Everio series.
