You must have a disk in your DVD recorder for the option to be available. Do you have a disk inserted?

Yep Tired 3 different dvd disks, and some blank cds, still doesnt show up.

It use to work b4 the hard drive was formatted then when I reinstalled the program I havent been able to get it to work since. Probably something simple but I cant figure it out:(

I havent done anything different in editing or capturing than I did b4.

Ta,
You probably have a crippled "SE" version of VS7. Check the Help Menu "About".

Is your DVD drive available in all your other applications? Does it show up in Explorer? I'm wondering if something happened when you reformatted to render the drive invisible to the software. I'm just guessing here, but it sounds as if the program isn't recognizing the drive. Did the program come bundled with a DVD drive? Are you using that DVD drive? I know I have installed the ULead software on a different computer and because it was intended to be used with the drive it came with, I can't use if for all functions on the other computer...the Nero software is especially affected, but I"ve never had a problem using MF2 SE and writing to the drive.

DVD drive is fine, I installed the trial version of VS8 to see if it worked on there, and that works fine. We are using the same DVD drive it came with.

Thanks:)

I once solved a weird problem by adding a new user to Windows and logging on as the new user. I don't have any reason to think this might help, but you could give it a try...just in case there is some stange registry setting that is causing the problem. If it doesn't work, you can always delete the user and won't have lost much in the way of time.

Strange that it worked fine b4, also strange I can do everything else up until the point of creating a disk. The program never crashes out or anything like that. it is frustrating the heck out of me, So I've given up and will get what I need done with the trial VS8.
Thanks for you help and suggestions with this question :)
