Using Videostudio 11.5plus and probably this is somewhere on the forum so excuse if I am wasting time...but the blurb says windvd 8 is included in the package. I find it in the bonus pack to install and appear to successfully install. When I run it says trial period has expired, get/buy activation key. Running Vista OS and processor is an AMD at 1.8ghz Can anyone enlighten me on why this happens javascript:emoticon('')

Firstly I have altered the title of this thread: please view

To answer your query, you have installed it incorrectly but it is an easy enough mistake to make. You have gone to the sub directory containing the set up file for WinDVD and ran that setup program. As you have discovered this now asks you for a serial number!

You need to run the set up program at the root of the bonus pack, this provides a menu of options to install various things, one of which is WinDVD.
Select it from that menu and the program will now install and will not nag you for a serial number.

I thought that was where I had gone but perhaps not. What I did was click on the bonus pack download file which then unpacked and then came up with a splash screen which had options of Windvd 8, music, audio etc. I clicked on the WINDVD and it seemed to run the installer and as I said it seemed to install, then when I ran from the startup menu od windows/all programs/intervideo i got the message about trial expired get new key/serial number

I know it is probably different for different computer setups but where would I generally find the root of the bonus pack? :? :?
