Hi Trevor

The software version as far as I am aware is the latest available 11.5(plus)- purchased from Amazon. I assume therefore that it comes with all the latest updates? I did try running the utilities installation for the Indeo driver (whatever that is) but I got a message that there was already a later version found on my pc so I aborted the installation. (I have also tried un-installing and re-installing VS without any success so far as the movie-manager-template is concerned).

I have made some progress insofar as I created yet another mpeg file using the stadard DVDPAL template at 9600 kbps. I started a new project and inserted the new file as suggested into the time-line. Then, thinking that this might be straightforward I tried burning the DVD by reducing the bit-rate down to 5700 kbps at the burn stage (in order to get the file small enough for it to fit on the standard size disk). I did this reduction under the 'gearwheel' icon in the burner module. What I hadnt appreciated was that the file would then be re-rendered yet again so, two and a half hours later, the file did indeed write to disk. Unfortunately it is a wedding video with quite a large amount of dialogue and I have now found that part-way into the movie lip synch has been lost. So although I have succeeded in burning a disk the results are currently unacceptable. This is really disappointing as I'm concerned that I will now have to start from scratch and re-edit the whole video to replace the clips with the defective lip-synch. Frustratingly, I believed that I had already sorted out the template issue using the trial version before it (prematurely) expired. Unfortunately I cant now replicate this but I do really need to sort out the template issue before I try saving any further files.

I'm sorry to keep troubling you with this problem - not helped by my limited IT knowledge - but I would appreciate any further pointers

Hi Andy

Indeo driver

Can you uninstall the version on your pc then re-install from the VS 11 disc.
I think this is worth a go.

Your wedding project.

How long is it. I assume it to be 90 minutes.

From the finished project you have to create a video file. We tried to use make movie manager, without success. (But haven¡¦t given up on that one.)

With the project open and showing in the timelines , Share Create Video File.
Select¡XCustom
Select¡XSave type as¡XMpeg files
Select ¡V Options¡XCompression tab¡XMedia type¡XDVD-PAL

Edit the remainder to your Mpeg properties, except for the Bit Rate. 6000 will give you 90 minutes of video.
That¡¦s why I ask, how long is the project.

From the Ulead Video Studio tab¡XUNCHECK Perform Smart Render.
Disabling Smart Render may overcome the audio out of sync¡¦ problem.

Select OK
The properties you have set can be viewed in the ¡¥Save options¡¦ panel.
This is what I see:-

MPEG files
24 bits, 720 x 576, 25 fps
Upper Field First
(DVD-PAL), 16:9
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 6000 kbps)
Audio data rate: 256 kbps
Dolby Digital Audio, 48 KHz, 2/0(L,R)

Give the file a name and a ¡¥save in¡¦ location.
Press OK and it will render the project to a new video file.

When its completed the process a video file (Mpeg 2) is saved to the hard drive.

Start a NEW project¡XShare Create Disc-the burner module opens, no video files.

Now Add your new video.
Create a menu and burn to disc.
When you finally hit the ¡¥burn button¡¦ the first thing you should see on the blue progress bar is ¡¥Convert Menu¡¦

Hi Trevor

The only exising file I can find on my hard drive using the word Indeo is 'Indeo4' which is located in C:\Programme Files\Quick Time\QTSystem. Is this what I should try un-installing prior to running the file on the VS disk?(Please forgive my ignorance)

Hi

Thanks for the link Steve.

Andy

Use the Add and Remove Programs option from your Control Panel.
Select the Indeo Software file.
Then select change/remove.

Then re-install from the VS 11 disc.
