Is the MPEG2 encoding engine in VS9 the same as in DVD MF 4?

Is there any benefit to encoding/converting videos to MPEG-2 in DVD Movie Factory 4 instead of Video Studio 9, are are the encoding / converting engines the same?

I'm not sure if they use 100% the same engine to render MPEG-2, but when I encode video in either VS9 or MF4 (export) they both produce better results than previous versions of the products, so I guess it is a win-win.

I would still like to know if they use the exact same rendering/encoding engines for MPEG or not, if anyone happens to know.
