DVD Encoding Error Details

DESCRIPTION:
Crashes... too often, so I'm going to hone in on a particular scenario of a DVD encoding session after having processed 6% of the output for a full (90 minutes +/-) HQ DVD. HD MPEG-2 source video files (TiVo HD to DirectShow Dump). I've tried to output this project to DVD a couple of times and just cannot; but, the error below is fairly consistent and this was the longest it went without crashing.

Sometimes, not always, it crashes when going through the steps to "Share the DVD" just clicking "Next" when getting to the DVD menu configuration.

I've been able to output one other project successfully, which also was the *same* scenario, but not as long of a video. It crashed a couple of times during menu configuration, but did not crash during the DVD encoding.

Note: I have a very stable system, so is VS just having problems? I just activated it so I have 30 days to get a refund.

By the way, I just read the nice post in "Slow Rendering" (http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=32040) about a different work flow to create the DVD. I will try it... though my mind resists having to resort to intermediary steps.

Did you uninstall the TBYB version before installing the full version? That's what is usually recommended.

Hi,

Nope... in fact I question that would even matter because the download link for the product provided after purchase is indeed for the same TBYB installation. :) I noticed this fact when I was about to download the software after purchasing and realized there is not a different installation download.

I did however download and install the content/patch/update packs (in that order).

Cheers,
Evan
