they worked fine with the 30 day trial version. No problems at all there, and now i've upgraded to the full version, the accompanying sound just doesn't import. The footage imports ok, although it does have a tendancy to freeze at 2 seconds in.
I've looked in the file properties and unfortunately there is no audio information given. But there is audio on the files as they play fine in Windows Media Player.
I know that the files were created on a Mac, (i'm on PC) so guess this could have something to do with it.
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! thanks
No Sound when importing MPG's on VS11, however...

In particular, we need to know both the properties of the video and the audio. I know you said you checked those, but I suspect you did not check them in Video Studio itself. If you right click on a video file, either in the timeline or in the library pane, and select Properties, you get far more detail than you will ever get in Windows Explorer or My Computer...

File Properties, as right clicked in the Library of VS11....
File format MPEG-2
SIze 62394 KB
Duration 32640 secs
Video Type MPEG - 2 Video Lower Field First
Frames 816
Attributes 24 bit 720 x 576 4:3
25,000 frames/sec
150000 kbps
Audio None
Guessing its not a common or easily fixable problem then? Codec issue perhaps?
