Pause and other controls missing when doing screen capture

Post by maineiac »

Previously I have been using WINDVD4...but now that I am going to be using a Vista PC, I need to change. I just downloaded the trial version of WINDVD9 and noticed one problem that I can't seem to figure out how to solve. Perhaps I am just missing something that is obvious.

I use the program to do lots of screen captures. To do this in Version 9 it appears that the only way is to open up a new bottom control set up that allows me to do the captures. However, if while I am watching the movie I want to pause at a particular point there does not seem to be any button to do that while I am doing screen captures. Instead, I have to first click the right arrow button and then find the pause button on the regular bottom control button that shows up. Similarly, all the other types of controls that one associates with the player do not seem to be available when I am trying to do screen captures.

It sure seems strange for this program to be handicapped in this way, particularly when WINDVD4 was very easy to use as whatever function you were using at the time, the main control panel was always available...unlike the situation in WINDVD9.

So can anyone tell me if I am missing something obvious or is this just the way that the program has now been designed?
