AVI to DVD?
AVI to DVD?
In the past I have always made .m2v files before burning my DVD with MovieFactory. Can MovieFactory handle compressing a large avi (which is less than one hour long) directly to DVD?
Probably...
AVI is not a single format, but rather a "container" or "wrapper" format, and it can contain video with any type of compression.
Since you said the file is large, it's probably AVI/DV (13GB per hour) or uncompressed AVI (65GB per hour). AVI/DV is generally the most trouble-free format. However, more compressed formats like AVI/DivX or AVI/Xvid can sometimes be difficult.
