I go to burn & it vanishes on me??
I am a new user to DVDMF6, I have just installed all the latest updates, fixes etc to my programme MF6 {I assume that is where I put it}. I start a new slideshow do my editing to photo's etc then get to the burn stage & the whole programme vanishes & takes me back to the begining of the programme. I was using new a DVD+RW. Hope some one can help me. Thank you for your time. Regards, Ivy May
This is probably some sort of conversion problem... What format are your photos, and what is "etc"? You may need to experiment to see if some of the photos or some of the "etc" are causing the problem. i.e. Try making a simpler project, and add one element at a time 'till problems re-appear...
Highly compressed audio/video formats tend to cause the most trouble. If you are using MP3s (or other compressed audio files), try converting them to WAV before using them in Movie Factory. If you are using any highly compressed video clips, you may need to convert those to MPEG-2 with a 3rd-party program before importing them into Movie Factory. JPEGs are usually OK, but once in a while, Movie Factory will have trouble with a particular photo...
And, you may be able to isolate the problem by "burning" to your hard drive, instead of an actual DVD -
- When you get to the "burn" step, check the box that says Create DVD/ HD/DVD folders or Create Disc Image, and un-check Create To Disc.
- If that works, you'll get the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders on your hard drive, instead of on a DVD. And if that works, you have a problem during the actual burning step.
- If that fails, Movie Factory is having trouble transcoding your photos, etc.
