Is there a way to import a web page into VS 11+? I just want to save a web page and then import it as an image (no .flv or anything). I did not create the page.

Could someone please let me know if this is possible and if so, how to do it? Thank you.

You can not directly import a web page into VS, because it's a video editing program.

First there's some things that need to be taken into account.
1.What type of webpage? There are several basic and complex webpages, ranging from simple HTML to complex using Java, JavaScript, PHP, CSS and so on. Then there's animated webpages that may use Flash animation.

Most webpages nowadays use more than one element to make up the page. The layout design will use CSS, any text will be marked up using HTML code or tags, PHP and JavaScript to access database information and so on. If you use FireFox and have the command View Page Source under the View menu, while viewing the webpage you want to import select it. You will see what all is used to display that page.

So with that said, you can use the windows method of [Alt]+Prt sc or just Prt sc to capture an image of the webpage to the clipboard. Then open your photo editing program like PhotoImpact and select Edit Paste as new Image. Then from there you need to save the image as recognizable format, such as BMP, JPEG, PNG, ect. Following that you can insert the image into VS, by using the command Insert Image.

There's also a multitude of screen capture programs available, just Google Screen Capture.

I might also note that if it is a Flash website, the above will not work. The actual website and "web pages" are movieclips. You would need to be able to download them. There are some programs made specifically for that. Most of them use numerous movieclips just to makeup one "page". Also I should warn you, that web developers and designers get real, real upset when people steal their hard work. They will prosecute those that do...

Try screeshot/cpature with something like IFRANVIEW then save a JPG image?

I don't know about the others, but FastStone Capture allows you to capture a page that requires scrolling down to see it all.

With Vista you can easily grab a jpg of a screen and even crop it to focus on the section you want.
