Hi there,
I am looking for a template for VS11 that has 6 chapters/thumbs per screen on the DVD Chapter Menu. The current DVD Templates only allow for 3 thumbs per screen is what I can see. I know you can create these in PhotoImpact, but I'm wondering if anyone has one or can tell me how to do it in VS or share one?
Thanks in advance,
W.

Hi W
You can ¡¥Customise¡¦ the thumbnail template and select up to 8 thumbnails.
Select Thumbnails from the gallery
Select the ¡¥edit tab¡¦
Select ¡¥customise¡¦
Select ¡¥Layout¡¦ from the drop down (just above the timeline.)
I see 8 thumbnail option.
Select Add to Menu Template (just below the preview screen¡¦ will save the template in your favourites.
Note if you add a background image and sound first they should be saved as part of the template.
At least this works for VS 10

Is your version of VS a download version? If so, did you install the extra content?

Hi W
As I said I do not have VS 11 and cannot check its content, but problems have occurred with DirectX
Can you check your directx installation is the latest version

It has become almost a mantra with me over the past couple of months to suggest people first go to the Microsoft DirectX website and download the latest update patch. The current one is dated June 2008 and can be found at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en
Note that it updates both DirectX 9.0c (XP) and 10 (Vista). The number of your DirectX installation will not change, but the patch gives extra functionality in a number of areas and corrects other faults in VS11 in particular which do appear linked to Windows updates. The menu preview and 'building preview graph' problems seem to be amongst them, and that is what you particular problem appears to be linked to.
