I had all of the same symptoms I read about in my search on this forum...couldn't open, move, delete, or rename ufo's. Trying to do anything with them caused PS12 to freeze up (on Vista).
I was just playing around and hit the browse button under file instead of open. I found my ufo's and ..that did it. For some reason the small thumbnail image appeared for all of them and I was able to delete, move, rename, and most importantly, open the ufo's.
I tried to open them again using the File and Open commands, and it didn't work. PS12 crashed.
So, if you're having the common .ufo problems with Vista, try to open them using File and Browse instead of File and Open.
Best,
Blair

I'd give my right arm to be ambidexterous.

Well, I seem to be having this conversation with myself.
If anybody is reading this thread who was in the same boat I was, this patch works perfectly. It clears up all of the ufo problems, even though it is not listed as one of the fixes.

Glad I came here looking for help...
