VS 11.5 plus how to put title first in storyboard mode
VideoStudio 11.5 plus. I am new to video editing. My question, which is probably embarassingly obvious to all but me, in storyboard mode, the first frame is a video/image clip. How to show the title clip as the first frame in storyboard. When I switch to timeline, I can put title in first frame area of timeline title track, but when I preview it doesn't preview as first the title, then the first frame of video...does some other phase of VSP put together the title and video/images in proper order that, at this early stage of composing the video, I wouldn't know about? I also want to choose a transition between the title and first frame of the video, I can't seem to do that in storyboard.....am thankful for any advice...

No, it's not really obvious at all. What you are saying is you want your title over a black or colored backgound, not the video itself? To do this simply open the color library and drag a color down to the timeline, and lengthen it to suit.

I usually start with a short (3 second) black panel, then a cross fade transition, so I get a fade in from black effect at the start of the video. Then I follow this either with another colour panel or photo which I stretch to around 10 seconds, the be background for the title. Then another cross fade transition. Then the first video. You could also substitute a 10 second video clip if you wanted as the title background segment.
