Any help is much appreciated. Three questions.

1) Why do my titles look so fuzzy? They look good when I insert into timeline, but as soon as I play the project, they turn fuzzy. This is before or after rendering. In other words, the non-completed file looks like crap from a title standpoint, and then it looks worse, of course, with YouTube's encoding...what am I doing wrong? 2) I cannot figure out how to do a "video only" insert into an existing audio-video project. Basically laying B-roll over. How can I accomplish this basic task?

3) Finally, how do you "fade to black" at the end of a project?

1) The preview is just that...a preview. It's having to render your project on the fly and to do that well enough it's a bit on the rough side. With the correct settings your final product should be crisp and sharp

2) Not entirely sure what you mean here. I think you mean overlay tracks. In 11.5 there are 6 of them. Just insert your new video into the overlay track to an exsisting project. If you meant adding new video between to video scenes already on the video track then all you need to do is pick up the thumbnail from your libray and drag it the spot where the two video scenes meet

3) Add a colour section, in your case, black then add a transition between the end of your clip to black. Either the 'Crossfade' effect or 'fade to Black' effect will do the job

To ensure the best quality in the Preferences dialog (File menu>Preferences or pressing keyboard shortcut F6) go to the Edit tab and set the Resampling quality to Best.

Some fonts just don't work well with video. I find that most Sans-serif type faces work better. They are the ones that do not have the "tails" on the ends of the characters.

If you mean to have a B-Roll (overlay) video minus the audio, then just mute the audio for that clip. On the Edit tab look for a small speaker icon towards the top of the tab. Click it, and an X will appear over it, depicting that the audio is muted.

Fade to Black is done by inserting a black color matte from the Color Library at the end of your clip/project. Then from the Effects Library, go to the FX section, and drag a Fade-to-Black transition between them..

OK my man, it`s pretty clear how to fadeout a clip to black.
But how do you achieve the fading IN from black of a clip which
is located on the MAIN video track ? I`ve seen the fade-in and
fade-out controls, but these appear only in relation to an over-
lay clip.

Place a black (or other colour) panel first in the main timeline, then a cross-fade then your first video...
