Having copied a VHS home movie to Video studio "version 9" my computer crashed. On rebooting the copy is still there and is now a file called holiday that's all, no file type nothing other than the size 578 Mbs. I have tried to import it into Video studio no joy nothing I have tried will open this file in Ulead. The only cosolation I have is that it will open in Windows media player and play exactly the same as the original VHS tape.Can anyone tell me how I can get the copy into Ulead as I am unable to copy it again.

Your captured files should be in your working folder, see File--Preferences for its location.

When you capture a copy/thumbnail is normally placed in the library. Is it there?

If not select the folder icon top right, (import video) navigate to the 578 file on your hard drive.
If it¡¦s a video file then VS should allow you to import to library.
Now drag the thumbnail to the timeline.

578Mbs is not very big when using video files. how long does the video last.? Can you say what capture settings you used.
