Programme Crashing - and I cant remove or reload

My Ulead slideshow/dvd 4 has begun seizing up when I go to burn. I even tried it on a new test show of only 6 photos, but it still crashed as soon as I clicked on the Burn tab.

I thought I would reload the programme, but I can't even remove it from my computer. I get this for the error message:

Can you explain what that is? This is really annoying as I've come to a standstill and I have so much work I need to be doing on it.

I just noted the patch that is on the sticky above, so thought I would try that. So great reading people's comments - I'm fast losing faith in the programme.

After downloading, it wouldn't set up and I got this error:

It's difficult to guess what the problem might be. I'd probably perform a clean install (the procedure can be found here in the forum) and see if that gets things working again. If you opt for that, be sure to save any project files in a safe location outside of your DVDPS4 installation folder.

I managed to work through this by reloading the programme (without removal first). That seemed to do it okay.

But it still crashes after about 3 edits. It's totally ridiculous. My presentation has about 800 photos in it - is the programme not designed to handle this?
