Re: Problem with TIME LAPSE using stills.
Update.... I've since stopped using VS X4 for time lapse. Adobe Lightroom 3 loaded with time lapse presets is amazing for time lapse. VS X3 and X4 allowed me to adjust the timing of my clips in small ways but the program never produced the best quality videos from my stills and offers no editing of the stills prior to converting to video. Lightroom lets me edit 1 image, then apply the same editing to all images or make single edits to single images before creating the movie clip. The quality of my time lapse is far better now then when I worked in VS X4.

That's a little unfair comparison isn't it Mike? I mean ALR is a $200-300 program.

wasn't compairing.... simply stated that I found VS X4 no longer suitable for Time Lapse and the reason why. There are a lot of reasons for Corel to find for people to use VS and for me, Time Lapse is not it. As an editor I really wish they would put their efforts into features like those found in Media Studio Pro. I saw the time lapse feature in VS X4 as a gimick as I stated in an earlier post since I was allready doing the exact same thing in VS X2 and X3.

Re: Problem with TIME LAPSE using stills.
I aLso have Lightroom and have used the TimeLapse features with it. However, the TimeLapse feture of VS X4 is not a gimmick, it actually works quite well. Of course one always wants to process the images involved in Time Lapse, and VS is not made for that. VS Time Lapse works to make a video clip a time lapse version of it; Lightroom can't do that. In short, Lightroom is an awesome program and I use it extensively to process photos, but one can't beat VS X4 right now to create video stories that include timelapses...
