Render time & disk space remaining indicator MSP8 (V.E.)

Post by Primekid »

Product: Media Studio Pro 8 (8.10.0039.0) - Video Editor
Source Video Format: AVI files
Edit File Format: AVI files
Video File Output Format: AVI files

Hello,

I've searched the forums for this subject, but have found nothing related to my question, so here it goes.

In the past, when working on a video project, I would have a progress indicator appear, during rendering, under the "rendering" preview window that displayed the approximate time to render, time elapsed, time remaining as well as the estimated required disk space, available disk space, and disk space used.

In my projects I am usually editing an AVI source file, editing in AVI mode and rendering to an AVI file. I have always had this indicator display and find it useful for my own person time management needs as far as determining whether or not to attempt to render at a certain point in time or to leave the rendering for overnight and such. However, as of my current project, while doing a small test render, I only have the "rendering" preview window without the progress indicator below. I am not aware of having changed any settings related to this display, yet have not been able to figure out how to have this indicator display again during rendering. I would appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction as to how I might retrieve this feature. Or perhaps there are some preconditions in the project that cause this feature to activate during rendering. Anyway, I would appreciate any information that would help as I now realize how much I actually relied on this little indicator.

Thank you,
Kalon Reeves

Sorry, I've no idea, but if you try to encode to MPEG, does it do the same thing?

Maybe a re-install may help???
