Contour Shuttle Xpress
Has anyone had experience using any model of the Contour Shuttle input controllers with VideoStudio? I have VS9 and have bought the Shuttle Xpress in an attempt to avoid Some carpal tunnel achies from using my mouse, as well as an attempt to have easy access to jog control, etc. So Far I've not found an updated profile for using the Shuttle Xpress with any version of VS above 7, tho I suspect I can find a way to create a new one, provided I can dig out some keyboard shortcuts available in VS9. I'll post any successes (or abject failures
). Meanwhile, if any one has any experience with the device, I'd Sure Love to hear from ya.

I am evaluating both the express and the pro currently. I personally prefer the pro due to having 15 buttons as opposed to 5.
The Pro also has a lower profile than the Express making it much more comfortable. There are a bunch of presets for a variety of applications so you could use it with many programs. I am currently programming it for a new application and it is very easy to do based upon keyboard shortcuts. I also like the next feature in both where you can program one button to switch to a 2nd, 3rd, etc. profile for the same application so you can expand the number of items you can control via the Shuttle in the same application.

Thanks for the responses...
and Yes, phd, I'm re-considering the way I work, to notice what functions I can replace with a programmed button or combos I have available for the Xpress.
I got the Xpress after reading a couple of posts from those who liked it better than the Pro, and I liked the price better, of course..
I'll post again when I've done more explorations with this.

Thanks for the link. Much appreciated.
Although the Pro does take up a little more desktop space, the extra buttons as a convenience item make it worthwhile.
Also I have the Pro V2 and it does not slide around at all, so they may have addressed those issues mentioned in the review.
Have fun with it. I like them so far.
