But what if I want to use a solid color to hide a painting on a wall in the background? Thanks.

Just insert a color block on an overlay track, resizing and moving it to cover your object.

Thanks for that reply. I should have figured it out on my own. I also see I can use the key frames and move it around like the blurring method.
