I would like to use the ts files extensions that this hardware mpeg4 creates in MF6+ (current patchs applied) without recoding for my Toshiba HD DVD A2 player. I have Toshiba A2 player hooked to a second HDTV and would like to use this for playback while leaving my Hauppuage HD PVR/OTA/QAM/firewire HTPC for recording.
I have used MF6+ to make HD DVD content of OTA VideoRedo Plus processed mpeg2 dvd-r and dual layer dvd-r. These disk play in my Toshiba HD DVD A2 nicely.
I have use the Total Media Extreme Create Disk that comes with the HD PVR to create an AVCHD dvd-r and dual layer ddv-r that plays in stand alone Blu-Ray players. I could if necessary use 00000.m2ts file in the AVCHD\Filename\BDMV\STREAM.
Hauppuage HD PVR
Are you saying that MF6+ cannot load the file with an extension of .TS?
Rename the file to MPG or M2TS (if that's the case).
Not sure if that was your question or not.
If your HDV capture card records to an extension of TS (which happens to be the container format for the 2 or more streams) you can also use the freeware program TSRemux to convert/copy the streams into a M2TS container that MF6+ will read. There are a few graphical versions of TSRemux out there, great program for re-multiplexing video & audio streams.
Note: The stream container format MUST be in Transport Stream for TSRemux to read them (which HDV capture devices usually do if they are assigning an extension of .TS)
Not sure if this answers your question or not........

When I try to load the TS, renamed MPG, or renamed M2TS I get error message not accessible.etech6355 wrote:Are you saying that MF6+ cannot load the file with an extension of .TS?

I downloaded and use TSRemux to copy the stream into M2TS container. Still got the error message not accessible.etech6355 wrote:If your HDV capture card records to an extension of TS (which happens to be the container format for the 2 or more streams) you can also use the freeware program TSRemux to convert/copy the streams into a M2TS container that MF6+ will read. When searching for TSRemux I found another program H.264 TS Cutter V111 that I used to trim off the front and back of my original TS file. It gave these details for my HD PVR created TS file - AVC Video Stream #17, Unknown Stream of type 15. It successfully trimmed the file but the new TS file gave me the same error message when I tried to load into Movie Factory 6 Plus. The original and trimmed TS file will play in PwrDVD 7.3 and Total Media Theatre.etech6355 wrote:Note: The stream container format MUST be in Transport Stream for TSRemux to read them (which HDV capture devices usually do if they are assigning an extension of .TS)

Don't know of any of the above details help.
One other detail. I can create an AVCHD 00000.m2ts file generated by Total Media Extreme Create disk from the original HD PVR TS file. It will load into Movie Factory 6 Plus and let me add chapters. If I attempt at the Play Button to Preview hit the NEXT button, I must use the Task Manager - to end task for Movie Factory 6 Plus not responding as this point.
Is there a sample m2ts of ts on the web that I could use to make sure I have everything setup right. sjj1805 has a link in this thread to the description of the HD PVR where there are links to small sample of the files that the HD PVR produced, if someone would like to try making the HD PVR TS files work in their copy of Movie Factory 6 Plus.
