wav file music makes menu jumpy

Using VS8 build 8.01

Thought it would be nice to add some music to menu (wedding video), it is in wav format, when I do this menu looks "jumpy".

Also have a video clip that is basically a slideshow of their wedding program. Added the same music clip to it and created a mpeg file, the words on the program are jumpy. The mpeg file was created with mpeg audio.

Made a test DVD - the same slideshow w/out the music, the slideshow with the music and no music for the menu - the only thing jumpy is the slideshow with the music.

Any ideas? I think the music adds a classy touch and would love to use it.

Hi,

It is probable that the bit rate with the wav file is too high.

Try reducing the bitrate of the video.

Hmmmm....OK - to match my other analog captures, my project properties are variable bitrate @ 3999. What would you suggest?
