Titles on rendered movies look fuzzy, Video Studio 11

Post by roberthd »

After cutting a movie, I insert my titles. Once I render, the titles all turn fuzzy and lose any crispness. Any advice?

Are you working in standard definition?
How are you viewing the rendered files?

not certain re definition, thx for any help with fuzzy title

As I am just learning Vid Studio, not certain. But I shot standard definition on Mini-DV, captured video, made my clips, edited timeline, added titles, rendered, then hit output to YouTube. Watch one of my videos at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1eVX_zMTVXs and see the fuzzy titles. Thanks for any help. The titles look fuzzy before and after rendering.

Ok, the fuzziness is inevitable to some degree because you have to upload to YouTube and they then re-render to a more compressed format. Everytime it gets recompressed the sharpness of the titles especially will suffer.
First, you have chosen a Sans Serif font for the title so that's a good start however because of the two color effect you open yourself up to degradation.

thx, but one part doesn't make sense

Will read tutorial, so thanks. But the graphics even look fuzzy prior to my sending to YouTube and their crappy encoding. Thx again.
