Whenever I compress a file longer than ~5 or so minutes, the audio becomes out of sync. It starts off in sync, then around 5 minutes it starts getting out of sync, and then worse. I have tried changing the timing of the output videos from 29.97 to 30, thinking that the difference between those two framerates was causing the problem. It didn't fix it. I have also tried different players and I always make sure that the the source video and audio are in sync. This problem happens no matter what compression format I save the video in, just as long as it is a different format from the source video.
I have an AMD Athlon XP 3000+ and 1 gigabyte of PC2700 RAM, and do not use other programs while VS is rendering.
