The help im after is: Ive done the beginning title thanks to the help of you guys here. now im after doing a special effect on names. as i want to list all the players names of a netball team, but im doing them 1 at a time at the bottom right of the screen. what im after doing with the names is Basically just normal standard writing, Postion in Bold Writing and name in Normal writing, but looking at black labs site i seen an effect that sort of appears before the name and fades out to reveal the txt behind it!
I find it ever so hard to try an explain what it is im after doing, so Im gonna post the link, hope admins dont mind. http://www.veoh.com/channels/videostudio <--- This is the link to the site and the video is called: 2008 Boys Basketball Playoffs. Its just over a minute into the clip that the txt appears. Its like i white beam with colours init bit of blue ect, it sort of appears as if it was that thats making the txt appear and then it leaves the txt behind once its left the screen!
jeez i hope im making sense here, if yer dont quite understand what im meaning please ask for more input on what yer dont understand and ill do my best to explain ha!
Im also after finding out how you change the old film filter from the serpia look to colour?

John

To do that I actually used another piece of software from Digital Juice. Believe it or not they are called Revealers.
It's actually a video file that is place in an overlay track to "reveal" the titles in my case.
If you don't want to spend the money on DJ you could probably make a rudimentary type of revealer by using a color clip, and a fade in and fade out. Render that to its own clip then put it in an overlay track and resize it to just cover what you want to reveal.
Of course you would have to experiment with the timing and such, but I think something could be done.

Come to think of it, one of the Flash Back transitions would probably work better (i.e. look more like the revealer you referenced) than using a fade in/out.
Try this. Put 2 white color blocks (1 second each) on the timeline. Put a Flash Back transition between the clips. Either shorten the color clips or lengthen the transition clip so it is almost all just the flash effect. Seems like that should work.
If it does, simply render that to its own video file. Then simply put that file on an overlay track.

I can't take credit for all those videos, although the basketball video is mine. Most of them were submitted by other users like yourself.

That Digital Juice you was on about in an early post to myself, what is it exacly, ive been to the website you left, but i dont quite understand what it is, as ive seen some about like digital juice sound effect libary ect graphics pack and so on! are all these just standalone programs or do you have to have a program called Digital Juice on your system for all these effects ect to work? Reason im asking this is, because i cannot find a standalone program for it, ive found plenty of packages todo with sounds and graphics images and so on! but no standalone. unless digital juice is just the company who provides all these effects and you can just edit them with other programs like videostudio ect.Black Lab wrote:I can't take credit for all those videos, although the basketball video is mine. When you purchase a Digital Juice product you will get what they call the Juicer. The Juicer is the actual program that will render their product into a video file that you can use in VS.

I was just "supposing" how you could make something similar in VS.The thing is i really do like that effect you have on the basketball video the effect that comes on before the text. Wouldent mind learning that, but cannot seem to work it out from the info you last left me!
