How to pause a title once animation is finished!

Post by 2BaD »

Wonder if anyone can help! Ive just added a title to my video an opening title ive done abit of animation on it Moving path is the animation ive used, what im trying to do is, once the animation is finished i would like the title to stay on screen abit longer, i know you can extend the animation but it just makes it slower and slower the longer you have it, i would like it were once the animation has finished to maybe stay on the screen for another few seconds then go off, instead of just doing the animation and ending straight after the animation has finished!

Hope that makes sense, i just want the title to stay on screen alittle longer after the animation has finished.

Please help!
Thanks
John

The easiest way is to make a copy of your title (just drag it from the timeline to the library, then back again from the library to the timeline). Now turn off the animation and set your duration.

Hi

Set the second title to Fade ¡V Out

Tips:-

1 / You can customise the animation by clicking the Two ¡¥TT¡¦s¡¦ adjacent to the type box.

2 / Whilst setting the animation options, the blue bar below the preview screen is used as the Pause Duration.
The blue segment represents the text on screen, the pause time, the remaining is the animation duration. Fade ¡V in fade ¡V out for instance.

Brilliant. Will remember those tips Trevor thanks for them mate! Im trying to edit my sisters netball match so far i have the title which you guys just helped me with might sound daft but i kind of like it ive done the action replays in slow motion but in old film, looks pretty neat and did my nephews rugby match like it aswell and that looked nice! Its just now im getting bored of doing the same thing i need new ideas, like sound effects maybe but might be abit to advanced for me yet!

Ive searched all over the net for tutorials and such and i just cannot find nothing, Its been a long while since ive edited videos and i wasent to clever back then! Well i know a little about video studio the basics maybe like overlays and stuff, not very good doing 4 squares on overlays though so there all joined together, im a fast learner i just cannot find any tutorials, yer know video tutorials or even picture tutorials! I usually watch em and then maybe change em around to suit my own likings or if there good enuff maybe use them!

Anyways i think my search continues! thanks for your help guys you`ll probably hear back from me soon enough ha! hope you dont mind!

Thanks again
John

Hi John

E-mail me and I will send a VSP showing 4 images/squares Used as an intro to a slide show.

Are you Pal or Ntsc
What version of VS?
Are you using 4:3 or 16:9?

Check out the Veoh.com VideoStudio Channel. All the videos you will find there were made with VS. Some of them may give you some inspiration.

TakeOneFlix.com has online tutorials. Scroll down near the bottom for the VS ones.

Also check out the link under my name for the tutorials on this forum.
