Chapter Questions?

Some questions re chaptering in VS 11.5.
1) One creates a project in VS by adding different clips, transitions between them, etc. Is there a way to tell VS to automatically create chapter points at the beginning of each clip? That would seem to be obvious, but I don't see a way to do it. You can set it to create chapters automatically at a fixed time interval. There might also be a way for it to scan, and try to figure out where scenes change. I don't want either of those. I want a chapter point at the beginning of each clip, which would seem to be an obvious way to do it. I don't see how though, other than entering them manually.
2) If one sets the chapter points in a VS project, then exports the project as an MPEG2 file, are the chapter points saved in the file? (I don't know if that is possible in MPEG2.) So that, if one later opens the saved mpg file with a DVD authoring program, like DVD Movie Factory or DVD Workshop or another one, as a title, will the chapter points saved in VS be there, so that one can create a chapter menu, as well as the title menu? Or would one have to enter chapter points and names all over again in the DVD authoring program? (If so, no point adding chapters in VS, if one will have to do it all over again.)
3) If one uses the built-in DVD authoring function of VS, and imports the VS projects directly as titles into the VS DVD authoring component, rather than saving them first as .mpg files, then I guess the saved chapter points will be there. I experimented a little with this, and I saw the chapter points, but no chapter titles, although I had specified chapter titles in the main VS program. Why were the chapter titles lost? And--does this work well for DVD authoring in VS, to import VS projects as titles, rather than saved MPG files?
I would appreciate answers to these questions. Thank you.
