Adding Video to Project

I have project file made up of 8 videos with transitions, voice and music inserts. Now I want to add a new video at the beginning of the project. When I inserted it at the tail end of the project and then dragged it to the front, the audio and music tracts didn't stay associated with their videos.

Is there a way to lock the project (or something like that) when adding a new video so that everything stays aligned?

Yes it's called Ripple Editing.

I could explain it but I'm sure if you do a search for "ripple Editing" you get replies with pictures

It does tale a little to get used to though and you'll soon learn to add some black colour at the begining of all your projects
