Can anyone recommend a free software? I have created a "File" from VS10.XX and I can't play it on my laptop that doesn't have a dvd player. The video is for my outlaws 50th wedding anniversary party later this week and I can't take my pc with me.

It will depend a bit on what format your "File" has. But your copy of VS10 should have come with a free version of the InterVideo WinDVD 8 (?) DVD player. Do your in-laws have a computer? If so, if it runs Windows, the Windows Media Player should have been installed as part of Windows. It will also play many video formats, though if your "File" is using an unusual format, you would need to install the codec for it on any computer you intended to play it on.
There is also a free (I think) media player called VLC which gets very good reviews. I don't have it, but a simply Google search should give you a download site for it.
