setting for work folder is ignored

Post by rig514 »

Using preferences, I have changed the work folder to another hard disk "D" as my disk C is rather full. In the preview I have unticked the pointer to c:\my documents

Yet when I attempt to create a DVD, I get a message that there is not enough space on disk c:\my documents.
How can I make the change of setting of the work folder respected during the Create Disk process.
I have tried some other creation and they were OK. It is only the Create Disk that seem to ignore the change
Please help
I am using 11 plus with the new update

Aha! The 'trick' which is not covered in the Manual, as far as I am aware, is that there are *two* working folders. The one you set in File > Preferences in the main Editor module is the one you have changed. But the burning module, which is in fact a separate program subsumed within VS, has its own Preferences, which is contained in the first of the three icons in the bottom left of the burning screen. By default, it is set to the original default on the C:\ drive. So you have to change that to D:\ as well.
