Cannot get URL from push file

I just upgraded to VS9 and get the "Cannot get URL from push file" error when I try to do a smartdownload of the additional program files.

I had the same problem. There are so many people trying to download, the server gets overloaded (or something like that) I think. Keep trying it will come up eventually...I tried late at nite EST and got it. It is over 600MB and very slow server...I went to sleep and the next morning all the files were downloaded. Hope this helps.

I had to disable my proxy and change my IE settings so that the "smart update" could find the web site and download the files. Oy.

Okay I don't have Vs installed anymore, but the file you are looking for is in the VS Folder Tree, and is called Website.ini.

Someone who has Smart download working in VS will have to look for the File, copy the contents and Post it in a thread for you to correct your problem.

I'm a newbie so please be patient with me. I'm just so excited to get started with the program.

I'm getting this same error last night: "Cannot get URL from push file" when I try to do the Smartdownload. After finding this post I feel better that I'll get it working if I keep trying. Has anyone else had this error and later was able to connect and download? I only have dial-up at home so this could be a pain even if I can connect. Thanks for the reassurance!

Has anyone from ULEAD weighed in on this issue? What causes this? Is it really the server that is a problem?
