MP4 Conversion Help to a compatible format for MovieFactory6

Post by dominot5 »

So I decided to bin my MovieFactory5 which came with my Sanyo HD1000. This was able to import and burn native mp4 file.

MovieFactory 6 cannot do this so I need to convert them.

I have downloaded and installed Super but I am lost. I have tried different formats, sometimes I get sound and no video and vice versa.

Has anyone used this combination and can offer some tips.

The reason to try version 6 is due to jumpy playback with native mp4 burn't to dvd using version 5

Are you making a "regular" DVD or a Bly-Ray disc? Because that "native" file is not DVD-compatible, and it will have to be converted to standard-definition MPEG-2 for a regular DVD... I'm not sure about all of the Blu-Ray options... Blu-Ray allows many more format variations.

With SUPER, you should be able to strip-out the audio to a separate WAV file. (Choose 48kHz, stereo, PCM.) Then, you can feed separate audio and video files into Movie Factory.... At least I think you can do that... I haven't been using Movie Factory lately...

Use the freeware Any Video Converter....converts between several different formats, and I've used it to convert MP4 into DVD-compliant MPG, and then import into DMF6. Works like a dream.
