Titles - Where do the files go?

Post by esclava »

Hello!

I hope I didn't miss this question somewhere, but I'd like to do a clean install on VideoStudio 11.5 on my pc...I'm experiencing a bug-like performance and sometimes the only way to correct this is by a nice fresh install.

Okay - Here's the question:

What can I do about backing up my titles? They're all organized in my library and some of them I'd really hate to lose. I tried the right-click-properties procedure, but properties is grayed out. Is it a hidden file or something my pc would recognize as unrecognizable? Do you maybe not have to back them up? (I know when I used Adobe Premiere Elements my custom changes remained after a re-install.)

Thank you in advance!

To save your custom libraries you must copy them (put them in another folder), then paste them back after you have reinstalled VS.

The library files you need to copy are:
Video = VS_Video.dat
Audio = VS_Audio.dat
Images = VS_Image.dat
(The same format applies to titles, flash, colors, etc.)

They can be found in C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Application Data\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio, in the appropriate folder 8.0---9.0---10.0¡X11.0

Hi

For Titles---Another option would be to insert all titles to a new project.
You can insert all by using Shift-Click then drag and drop
Save the project as say My Titles .VSP

If you reinstall VS and loose the library, open the My Titles project, drag the titles to the library.
