where?
where do you get choppy playback?
-from computer hard drive
-from dvd-rom drive
-from set-top dvd player
What are the project properties you used for encoding your dvd? resolution, bitrate, audio type?
other things that might be involved:
-media type -- dvd ±R/RW
-media brand
-burner
-burn speed
-sticky labels on your discs
-too high a bitrate (video+audio)
-original captures dropped frames
-etc...

What kind of answer is that? Do you think every issue is caused by not using your procedure. Granted the poster has not provided enough information but maybe he did follow your procedure and it's another issue entirely.jchunter wrote:For starters, you did not read the recommended procedure in the top post.

answer was kinda rude, but i had not read the whole first post...lol. i'll try the tips in the post. from the preset option under change mpeg settings i have selected hq dolby. the bitrate changed from 6000 to 7000. i tried to manually set it to 8000 but my file was too big to fit on the dvd. i'll let you know how it turns out.
