put one video in the top track of the timeline - Change to the "Overlay" screen and put the other video in the overlay track. click on the one in the overlay track and then in the top left corner of your screen click on the 'motion' tab - then use the dropdown next to "Position" to select the manual option (very bottom one - on it's own) then in the "Adjust position" window slide the top video to either side and click OK - then click "Apply" .
Do not forget though that you will now see only half your videos - you cannot see the whole screen for each because the viewing format is now to tall for the width.
and if I wasn't so lazy I could propably explain more - but you'll just have to do with that.
