Weather Effects

Hello
i am a new user in this forum ,do anybody tell me how to add such a weather effects like snowing , raining , lighting to the video using ulead video studio ?

With VS 9 there is a cool filter that allows for rain, and clouds...but if you want lightning or snow you have to get somewhat more creative.
I use Ulead cool 3D Studio to create lightning and snow etc. and overlay it onto my shot...it looks a bit hoky sometimes...but if you use it sparingly, it's not terrible.

Have they dropped the lightning Video Filter which is in VS8 (as well as wind, water ripples etc) from VS9???
