Is there true 16:9 menu support?

I've seen a couple of posts ask this question but no real answer. Some time back I tried a trial of Workshop and was frustrated that I couldn't have a video, in the menu background, in a 16:9 format. I was able to hack it using IfoEdit but it wasn't easy.

Has support for this been added yet? Does anyone know if it's planned? Is there another product that will give me true 16:9 support and allow me to have a 16:9 video as the background to a menu?

I see that the new VS9 has 16:9 menu support but I don't think that allows videos in the background.

16:9 menu support is not available at the moment (but you can do it using the trick you mentioned).

VS9 does support it, and it also allows menu background video
