Help: VideoStudio cannot read vidoe file

Post by singha »

Hi,

I have Video Studio 10. There are a few video files I have that can only be played by VLC Media player. Video Studio 10 along with InterVideo and Windows Media Player cannot play or read the file. I suppose I am missing certain "codec"s?? How can I go about fixing this problem?

thanks in advance for your info.

And what type of AVI files? Which codec was used to make them?

Right click on a clip and copy its properties here.

I found a way to get around it. I used the Free Video Converter to convert the AVI file to a VOB file. The VOB file can now be accessed by Video Studio.

Hi

As VS cannot open the Avi you could try this free software
AVIcodec is a free multimedia file analyser for Windows.

hope this helps
